Introducing The ABLE Network SnowFAKE Holiday Gala. No Speeches, No Sparkles… Tonnes of Impact 🎉- Email sent on November 17, 2025

Dear Friend,
You’ve been a part of The ABLE Network’s story before, and we can’t thank you enough for that. Because of donors like you, adults with an Intellectual Disability (ID) have opportunities to build independence, gain confidence, build a brighter future, and contribute meaningfully to their communities every single day.

This year, we’re trying something different. On Saturday, December 13, 2025 we are holding The ABLE SnowFAKE Holiday Gala. There will be no ballroom, no searching for the perfect outfit, no speeches, and no glitter that somehow ends up on your clothes, your phone case, and your dog.

But there will be impact.

How does it work? You simply make a donation using the link below—and then spend the evening of December 13 however you please. Cozy at home, festive with friends, already in your pajamas… your choice. You support ABLE, and you keep your night (and your dry-cleaning bill) blissfully simple. Pro tip: add it to your calendar now before something else fills the space!

At ABLE, we are committed to keeping our programs affordable for families. Families cover half of the program costs through their monthly fees, while the other half comes from donations and fundraising campaigns. Government funding falls short of what families need to pay to attend an outstanding program like ABLE—and cost should never be a barrier. This is why we fundraise: to ensure every participant can access meaningful opportunities, grow, learn, and thrive, regardless of financial circumstances.
The ABLE Network supports adults with an ID as they continue developing the skills they need to live, work, and thrive in their communities. With four locations across York Region—Aurora, Richmond Hill, Stouffville, and our newest location in Newmarket—we are able to meet participants where they are and help them build meaningful connections close to home. Participants take part in a high-quality program tailored to their skills and abilities, including the five core programs of paid employment, community service activities, continuing education, recreation, and travel and safety training while simultaneously working on social skills development. Every step is designed to foster independence, confidence, connection, and meaningful contribution.

We work hard to keep The ABLE Network lean and efficient, ensuring your donation goes where it has the greatest impact: directly into program delivery and participant support. Every dollar is used with care and intention, helping to sustain meaningful opportunities without unnecessary overhead or waste.

Ready to make an impact from the comfort of home?

We’re aiming to raise $100,000 through this campaign—and every contribution, big or small, brings us closer.

Your donation to The Network ABLE SnowFAKE Holiday Gala helps our program participants and ensures the ability of ABLE to provide these services in the future.

Dear Friend,

Here’s what we love about The SnowFAKE Holiday Gala: instead of spending money on venues, catering, or décor, every dollar goes directly to supporting ABLE participants right here in York Region. If you missed the first email in this series, you can catch up here.

Now, we’d like to introduce you to one of our ABLE participants so you can see firsthand how your donations are being put to work. His story is a powerful reminder of the direct impact your gift makes possible.
Brent has been a program participant at ABLE's Aurora location for 15 years. He enrolled at ABLE when our program had a single location, and he has grown in all aspects of the program just as ABLE itself has grown over the years. Brent is a proud and dedicated employee of Sparkle Pharmacy in Aurora and of Longo's Green Lane in East Gwillimbury. He loves working and earning pay cheques! In addition to paid work, Brent has several meaningful volunteer positions in the community including at Telus Health, Trinity Anglican Church, and Welcoming Arms where he helps make soup every week for Martha’s Table community luncheon at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Brent enjoys going to work out at the AFLC gym in Aurora with his ABLE friends and he enjoys participating in continuing education activities, especially cooking.

Through the many skills Brent has developed at ABLE, along with the ongoing care and support he receives, he has grown into a confident, independent, and active member of the community. His contributions are significant and greatly appreciated. Brent is ABLE!
Stay tuned—more inspiring participant stories are on the way!

We’ve had a dusting of donations so far, but what we really need is a full-on blizzard of impact! If you’ve already donated, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you haven’t yet, your gift today keeps the momentum going strong.
Support our mission and make a difference today.
You also have the option to set up a recurring monthly donation, creating steady, year-round impact for ABLE participants.
Donate before midnight on December 13, 2025 to be entered to win a special door prize! Remember, all donations to The ABLE Network are tax deductible! Donate today!

Dear Friend,
By now, you’ve seen how powerful the ABLE Network SnowFAKE Holiday Gala can be. No gala glitz—just meaningful support for adults with an Intellectual Disability (ID) building independence, confidence, and community connections. We hope you enjoyed reading Brent’s story in our previous email. If you missed the first two emails in this series, you can catch up here.

This week, we’re excited to introduce you to Debbie from our Richmond Hill location. Her journey shows how your support continues to open doors, create opportunities, and make a real difference right here in our community.
Debbie has been a program participant at ABLE’s Richmond Hill location for 10 years. Debbie is a valued and long-time employee of Tim Horton’s where she works two days per week. She is also involved in rewarding community service work at L’Arche Canada Foundation where she volunteers two days per week as an office assistant. Debbie enjoys participating in a weekly Zumba class at Fitness Connection and she really likes engaging in a weekly book report club. Debbie values her independence and her ability to navigate the roadways and the transit system in Richmond Hill which she uses to get to and from her work and volunteer placements.

Debbie loves being involved in all her ABLE activities and she takes pride in contributing to her community through her work and volunteer efforts, a sense of purpose and independence made possible by ABLE programming. Debbie is ABLE!

Stay tuned—next week we’ll share another inspiring story from another ABLE participant.

The ABLE Network SnowFAKE Holiday Gala: The most meaningful gala you’ll never attend. 💌- Email sent on December 8, 2025

Dear Friend,
Imagine a gala that doesn’t take up your whole weekend, doesn’t require a babysitter, and doesn’t leave you hunting for that one formal outfit you’ll never wear again. That’s our SnowFAKE Holiday Gala—and it’s working!

We are making good progress towards our goal, and that’s because of community members like you who believe that adults with an Intellectual Disability (ID) deserve better opportunities to develop skills, make meaningful connections, and live full, self-directed lives close to home.

This week’s participant story comes from Kaitlyn in our Stouffville location. Her story is a reminder that when you give to ABLE, you’re opening doors, building futures, and making inclusion more attainable in our communities.
Kaitlyn has been a program participant at ABLE’s Stouffville location for 7 years. She very much enjoys being part of ABLE where she has made many wonderful connections. She is a treasured employee of Hope and Healing International where she works two days per week as a digital archive assistant, a position she loves that allows her to use her creative talents. Kaitlyn enjoys volunteering at Mon Sheong Stouffville Long Term Care Centre, helping to facilitate Bingo games for residents. She enjoys engaging with the residents as they do with her. Every year, Kailyn looks forward to baking for holiday bake sales that ABLE holds in support of local charities. Kaitlyn enjoys going to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Leisure Centre where she enjoys participating in a variety of fitness activities alongside other members of the community. She participates in group spin and yoga classes as well as attending the fitness centre where she follows her individualized fitness plan. Kaitlin enjoys connecting with her peers and sharing her passion for musicals, movies, and pop culture.

Kaitlyn takes pride in community involvement and all that she has accomplished at ABLE. She looks forward to continued growth and success and is grateful for the encouragement and support she receives through her ABLE programming. Kaitlyn is ABLE!

Because of supporters like you, this campaign has already kicked off a Snowmageddon of generosity—but there’s still more to do. Your gift today keeps the momentum going and ensures more participants have the support they need and we can keep fees affordable for families.

One Last Chance to Join The ABLE Network SnowFAKE Holiday Gala 🎁 - Email sent on December 13, 2025

Dear Friend,
Here we are—the closing night of The ABLE Network SnowFAKE Holiday Gala. Over the past few weeks, our ABLE community has sparked generosity and celebration, all without ballrooms, tickets, tuxedos, or stressful outfit planning. Honestly, the hardest part was deciding which cozy socks to wear!

Even though our gala required zero prep, the impact on adults with an Intellectual Disability (ID) has been enormous. Every day, participants are building independence through life and work skills, forming friendships, growing confidence, and contributing meaningfully to their communities—and your support makes it all possible.

Before we close, we want to share one final ABLE participant profile from Lucas at our newest location in Newmarket.
Lucas has been a program participant at ABLE for 4 years. He initially attended our Richmond Hill location before transitioning to our Newmarket location once it opened last year. He enrolled at ABLE during the pandemic shutdown, after our community-based program had transformed into a vibrant virtual format via Zoom. Lucas did a great job connecting with staff and other participants online. When the World opened back up and we returned to in-person programming, Lucas adapted seamlessly, and he eagerly engaged with the community. Lucas is a dedicated and much-loved employee of North York Farmers. He started working there shortly after transitioning to our Newmarket location last year and he is flourishing! Lucas is proud to support his hometown community, where in addition to his paid employment, he volunteers at The Salvation Army Thrift Store. He has stayed connected to the Richmond Hill community where he has been transiting independently each week to volunteer at The Lively Loaf bread baking program run by L’Arche Daybreak. Lucas enjoys all aspects of his ABLE programming, including working out at the Magna Centre, going grocery shopping at No Frills, and doing canvas painting at Main Ideas Painting Studio.

Lucas takes great pride in being part of ABLE and he consistently represents his program with enthusiasm. Wherever he goes in the community, he eagerly promotes and shares his passion for ABLE. Lucas remains committed to continuing to develop his skills, thanks to the guidance and encouragement he receives from his cherished program. Lucas is ABLE!
We’ve shared the stories of Brent, Debbie, Kaitlyn, and Lucas—each one unique, yet all connected by the same thread: every ABLE participant has their own inspiring journey of growth, confidence, and belonging. These are real lives being strengthened every day, thanks to people like you who choose to support opportunities and inclusion in our community.

Because of supporters like you, this campaign has already made a meaningful impact—and we are so grateful. But we’re not done yet. There are just 18 days left in 2025 to make your donation and receive your tax-deductible receipt.

Your contribution today ensures ABLE participants continue to build skills, friendships, independence, and a deeply valued place in the community—not just during the holidays, but all year long.
Support our mission and make a difference today.
If you’ve already donated, thank you! If not, now is your chance to join the celebration—no tux required, no babysitter needed, no stress involved. Donate before midnight for a chance to win a special door prize!
